Korean War Veterans Memorial

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is a national memorial dedicated to the service members who fought in the Korean War.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial was dedicated on July 27, 1995 and features a group of statues that depict soldiers from the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. The statues are depicted in full combat gear and are positioned to appear as if they are on patrol. The Memorial also features a Mural Wall made of highly polished black granite, it is 246 feet long and 8 inches thick, it has photographic images sandblasted onto the surface and depict soldiers, equipment and people from the Korean War. The Memorial also features a Pool of Remembrance, a shallow pool of water that serves as a symbol of the sacrifice made by the soldiers who fought in the war. The Korean War Veterans Memorial is a powerful and moving tribute to the men and women who served in the Korean War.
