National Mall

The National Mall is from the Lincoln Memorial to the US Capitol Building. Most of our stops are on the National Mall.

The National Mall is an iconic green oasis in the heart of our nation’s capital. Home to centuries of national memory and milestones, it’s a gathering place for millions to remember, meditate, recreate, and make history—all within view of the U.S. Capitol and iconic monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. Aiming to preserve this historic space for generations to come, The National Mall and Memorial Parks offer museum seekers a wealth of Smithsonian Museums like the Air & Space Museum and Natural History Museum, grounds for joggers, softball players, school groups, and all types of visitors looking to honor our veterans or celebrate civic freedoms at “America’s Front Yard.”
